"Under the Sea, Under the Sea... Darlin its better, Down where its wetter... Take it from me!" Can't resist singing along to the Little Mermaid song? Seen Finding Nemo 10 times? Then this week is for you!
You'll really love working on projects with beautiful fish & water theme designs in this session.
 
Sports Mania
Would rather be outside playing soccer or baseball or another sport? Then this session is perfect for you! We'll talk, paint, create and make everything to do with SPORTS! Even better than playing... & you don't have to be a great athlete to participate!
 
Around the World
Its a small world, after all... so lets learn about our neighbours around the globe! We'll explore & learn about Italian, Asian and other cultures with world themed projects this week.
 
Miss Manners & Nutrition
Let's plan a dinner party! This week, make beautiful pieces for your kitchen, learn different ways to set a table, participate in a Kids Eatrite fun nutritional seminar... and don't forget to learn our manners too!

SUMMER CAMP 2009

Pottery Painting Camp is a wonderful opportunity for boys & girls to explore their creative side while learning to design & paint functional pottery as well as participate in a variety of crafty learning activities. Create lasting friendships, wonderful memories & beautiful ceramic & craft projects to take home or give as gifts!

Pottery projects inspire fun & teach a variety of pottery painting techniques. Learn to use stencils, stamps & many more tools to paint fabulous masterpieces! Craft and learning activities further expand their minds for a well-round camp experience.

All supplies & a healthy snack provided. All materials are non-toxic and food-safe.

Weekly 1/2 Day, Full Day & Drop-in Programs include:


Weekly Camp (pre-registered)

Full Day & 1/2 day weekly option available.

Weekly camps are a great opportunity to really dive into pottery painting. Campers will enjoy using various paints and designer glazes while learning a variety of pottery painting techniques. Consecutive days allow unique, more complex projects*** to be completed as well as the opportunity to try many other crafts such as beading, candle making, soap making, or paper/textile crafts.

Full Day campers will also dig into handbuilding with clay!
A fun way to get your hands dirty while developing creative and fine motor skills. Introductory clay handbuilding skills may include pinching, press molding, slab and coils. A great way to introduce your child to the basics of handbuilding before enrolling them in one of our fall clay classes.

And last but not least... hanging out with new kids in our friendly, home-y studio during weekly camp is a wonderful friendship creating group experience!

Enrollment Limited. Supervision and instruction provided. All participants will take home 4 or 5 pieces at the end of a weekly session. Entire group will enjoy pizza lunch together on final day. Pre-Registration required.

****Lunch & Snacks:

     -> Full Day Campers: Parents please provide lunch monday-thursday; pizza lunch will be provided by Bisque It on last day/friday. New! Kids will have a blast in our "make-your-own-pizza" friday lunch!
     -> 1/2 Day campers are invited to join our full day campers for Pizza Lunch from 12noon-12:30pm on the last day/friday.
     -> Daily snacks provided by Bisque It for all campers.

Outings:

     -> All sessions are designed to stay IN STUDIO. Full Day Campers "may" participate in 1 or 2 out-of-studio community outings on sunny afternoons. Participation is not mandatory; alternate in-studio activities will be provided for children whose parents choose to opt-out of outings. Parents will be consulted & provided with further details in advance of their session start.

Drop-in Camp (drop-off with parent sign-in)
Unsure of your schedule? Other plans not quite come through? Bisque It's drop-in camp is the perfect solution! Open to all age **7-12 years old, on a first-come first-serve basis.
No pre-registration required. Just sign-in as you drop off the kids & come back to pick-up in 2 hours!

Enrollment Limited. Supervision and instruction provided.
Projects change daily.

Cost: $35*/2-hour session, per child

10am - 12noon OR 3pm-5pm*
(designated dates ONLY)
*drop-in days after-care is available from 5-6pm at $10 per child per day.

Since projects require glazing and firing, parents may be required to return a week after the drop-in date to pick up their child's masterpiece.

**children age 5 or 6 will be accepted in drop-in & weekly session when registered along with a participating older sibling. Projects may be modified to accommodate younger sibling level.
***Bisque It reserves the right to change projects without notice.
****Although Bisque It is not a nut-free environment at this time, we kindly request that parents do not pack nuts or nut products in their children's lunches.
